The Daily Catch | Fishing Report – November 2025
November has been one of those months that really reminds us why fall fishing in the Gulf is so special. As the air temperatures dropped and the water started cooling off, the bite across the board picked up in a big way. We’ve had a great mix of action, variety, and quality fish, making every trip feel a little different and exciting.

Pelagic Action and a Hot Grouper Bite
Trolling has been producing steady results, with both Spanish mackerel and king mackerel showing up consistently. November is always a transition month, and you can feel it out there—the fish are moving, feeding hard, and setting the stage for winter patterns. At the same time, the gag grouper bite has been nothing short of phenomenal. As the water cools, these fish become more aggressive and move in closer, giving our anglers plenty of opportunities. While gags are catch and release for now, seeing the size and numbers we’ve been hooking has everyone excited for the upcoming season.

Nearshore Bottom Fishing Success
Our nearshore trips have been packed with action. Bottom fishing closer to home has been especially productive, with solid catches of hogfish, lane snapper, and mangrove snapper. These trips have been perfect for anglers looking for variety and nonstop bites, and the cooler water has definitely helped bring fish into more manageable depths. Hogfish in particular have been a highlight, rewarding patience and good bait presentation with some great catches.

Longer Runs, Bigger Rewards
When we’ve had the weather windows to run farther offshore, the payoff has been well worth it. Red grouper have been the star of our longer trips, and we’ve been lucky enough to put some beautiful keepers in the box. Even better, the colder water has worked in our favor on several shorter trips too, where we’ve managed to land keeper red grouper closer in than usual. That’s always a welcome surprise and a reminder that November can offer big rewards without always needing a long run.
Seasonal Shifts on the Water
November fishing is all about adapting, and this month has delivered exactly that. Calm days, crisp mornings, and changing conditions have kept us flexible, but they’ve also created some of the best opportunities of the fall. From trolling for fast-moving pelagics to working the bottom for grouper and snapper, it’s been a month full of variety and memorable moments.
Looking Ahead
As we head toward December, we’re expecting the kingfish bite to continue improving and the bottom fishing to stay strong as water temperatures keep dropping. November has given us a great preview of what winter fishing has to offer, and we’re excited to keep sharing these trips with both familiar faces and first-time anglers.
Thank you to everyone who joined us on the water this month. We’re grateful for another great November full of tight lines, teamwork, and unforgettable days offshore.
