Stella Fishing Company

Stella Fishing Company is the dream of two brothers who grew up on Florida’s Gulf Coast catching grouper and snapper, and their endeavor to own a charter fishing business.

Jamie and TJ were raised with values of family and community, they strive to share their love for fishing and all the Gulf of Mexico has to offer. In early 2022, the opportunity became available to purchase the longest-running charter business on Clearwater Beach and the dream became a reality.

Our Captains

With many years of experience in near-shore and offshore fishing, our Captains have spent years on large fishing vessels, private sport fishing yachts, and private charter boats. With a reputation for consistently finding the fish, they are widely known as some of the Best on the Beach and can be counted on to give you and your party a fun and enjoyable fishing adventure.

Jamie Smith

Jamie grew up in the Tampa Bay area and has been fishing on the Gulf Coast for over 30 years.

TJ Leonard

Captain TJ grew up in New Port Richey, Florida, and began fishing at an early age.

Captain Jeremy is native to the Tampa Bay area being born in Clearwater, FL. He grew up fishing the waters of Pinellas and Pasco counties and has a vast familiarity with the local waterways.

Captain Brandon is a native of the Clearwater-Largo area and started fishing as soon as he could hold a pole!

Caleb is born and raised in Clearwater, Florida. Coming from a long history of family charter fishing, Caleb has been fishing his whole life.

Our Fleet

Stella Fishing Co. operates two nearshore and offshore charter boats from the Clearwater Beach Municipal Marina. Our two sport fishers are The Legend, a 43-foot Torres custom-built sportfish and The Lore, a 42-foot Post sportfish. They are perfect for anglers of all experience levels, and especially accommodating for family gatherings and corporate events. Stella is a 2021, 32-foot Jupiter, built locally in the Tampa Bay area, and is available by request only for experienced anglers who want to get to the deep water of Florida’s Middle Grounds.
