Spring break is the perfect time for outdoor activities, and one of the best things to do in Clearwater, Florida is to go on a fishing trip. The Gulf of Mexico is home to a variety of fish species, and this time of year, 8-hour offshore fishing charters give you enough time to get to the bigger fish and are the perfect opportunity to catch some of the most prized fish in the area.

Our full-day charters are great for those who want to spend more time on the water and explore the deeper waters of the Gulf of Mexico. If mackerel isn’t for you, there are a number of wrecks and reefs within 12 miles offshore where we have been seeing smaller grouper and snapper, porgies, lane snapper and grunt, all which are delicious white fish for a celebratory dinner once you’re back at the dock.

We’ve been seeing an uptick of sharks, barracuda, and Goliath groupers showing up at the wrecks and reefs not too far offshore. Last week, we had a 6-foot black tip shark in the boat for a few pictures before we sent him back swimming into the sunset.
